Littlehampton - Coastguard Station Beach Weather and Tides

The large shingle beach gives way to sand at low tide and picturesque areas of hinterland. Devoted management initiatives have ensured cleanliness and good facilities in the area. An added bonus is the coastguard tower overlooking the beach with its up-to-date first aid/lost children centre unit nearby. Ideally suited for families and all age groups, the beach boasts a modern funfair and theme park. The seafront also accommodates the award winning ‘East Beach Café’ designed by Thomas Heatherwick. A Kid Care scheme operates throughout the season; beach lifeguards between May and September.

Important! Tide times are for the nearest measurement point and may not be accurate for this location. You should not rely on these times for anything other than a broad indication of when the tide will be at its highest or lowest.

In particular, these tide times are not suitable for navigational use. Accurate tide forecasts require complex calculations and detailed local information. If you intend to engage in any activity for which tidal information is important for safety reasons (including sailing, powerboating, diving, and surfing) then you should obtain professional data.
